Beginning on your entrepreneurial journey often happens in one of two ways. The first is a reaction to being let go from your place of employment and you decide to take your future into your own hands and start a business.
Beginning on your entrepreneurial journey often happens in one of two ways. The first is a reaction to being let go from your place of employment and you decide to take your future into your own hands and start a business.
The other way is when you are determined to build and grow something by yourself and have a real passion behind it. Being the master of your own destiny plays into both concepts. The true entrepreneurial spirit comes from a desire to build, create and make an impact. It is less about you and more about the journey you are embarking on, the importance of what you are going to do and how that will change the world. When you have fire in your gut and drive to jump in, there is rarely anything else you are focused on or thinking about, you are just that excited. You are ready to be an entrepreneur when you can't possibly think of doing anything else.
What things/tips helped them to understand that they are ready for an entrepreneurial journey?
Great entrepreneurs are working on a plan to start their business and grow that business from day one. It becomes a mission for them. They are often the lead visionary and this is a great role for the leader to embrace.
Smart entrepreneurs know to continue to work the plan even as it shifts and evolves. Hiring strategically for the roles they do not excel at and having the ability to let go of that control is also key. When ready, entrepreneurs can clearly see many steps ahead.
How to understand that your mind and environment are in favorable conditions?
Mindset is a cornerstone to a successful entrepreneur. Mindfulness has become a common word with leadership today because great entrepreneurs are visionaries and their vision has to be clear.
The mind is in the right place when it's craving to learn more. Reading about mindset and how to shift their own. Beginning a good daily practice, like a regularly scheduled workout to keep their heads clear and their mind and body strong shows dedication.
Incorporating meditation practices or keeping it simple and taking three deep breaths when transitioning between meetings, pitching for investors, or prior to any sales conversation helps gain control of emotions.
A messy environment results in a messy organizational system and a lack of clarity as a leader. Keep filing, desks, and surroundings as tidy as possible. Clutter results in cluttered headspace. You cannot stay in a clear vision in an unclear environment.
