Our poor western diet and antibiotic overuse has led to the development of unique dysbiosis patterns resulting in Intestinal inflammation. One of the many reasons why so many women have trouble losing belly fat.  Hormonal shifts have an impact as well.

G.I. reasons that contribute to weight gain, bloating, difficulty losing weight includes H. Pylori, which can be one of the causes for peptic ulcer disease and plays a role in the development of gastric cancer if untreated.

Menopause contributes to hormonal imbalance and hormonal shifts affect weight gain, and bloating. Bloating or swelling around your stomach or abdomen due to digestive conditions, hormonal changes, and even some medications should be addressed. Some causes include thyroid dysfunction, stress which could lead some to "stress eat", the body releasing the stress hormone cortisol, which impacts cravings. Try to avoid sugary treats, snacks, and even fruits, which are always good, should be taken in moderation. Fish high in omega-3 fatty acids, Green tea, curcumin, ginger, and, of course, exercise can help to reduce bloating, boost energy and help manage weight.
