It's easy to sit in an area of doubt and lack confidence, even when others around you tell you that you are an expert in your field. You question your worth, your value and if you are doing your work to the standards everyone seems to think you are.

It's all based on inner beliefs. Asking if you are good enough is common, especially amongst high performers. There's a feeling of "everyone knows this" or "I'm not doing anything special." When in fact, you are.

How do you begin to overcome IS? Celebrate your successes with trusted family, friends, colleagues and mentors. Acknowledge the work you are doing and how it's making an impact.

Take in compliments and accept praise. You can stay grounded and humble while at the same time increasing your confidence and shifting any internal, negative thoughts to positive ones.

Have a support group of other leaders and mentors in your world, people who get it, in which to share your thoughts out loud. Listen to their point of view to help you change your own narrative.  And don't forget to share your successes with this group, as well.
