THE TARIFFS AND WHAT THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES IS DOING IN RESPONSE ARE TERRIBLE IDEAS

#China halting purchases of our #soybeans is a logical response in this #tradewar as it crushes our #farmers.

This is a good time to recap the absolute lunacy, the utter madness, and complete insanity of these #tariffs and what the U.S. Government is doing in response.

1) We decide, for the good of our country, we will engage China in a Trade War.  Why? Because we have a big deficit with China.  Forget for a second that is how a Global #Capitalist System works. 

2) As a result our farmers get killed because a lot of their product goes to China.

3) We then use #taxpayer money to subsidize our farmers.

So not only does the U.S. Consumer get to pay higher prices for everything (a tax), but they also pay a second tax to support industries hurt buy this Trade War.  Unless you think we are simply adding debt to the U.S. balance sheet to fund it.  If so,  where are all the frauds in #Congress who claim to be fiscal hawks and free market proponents

In all seriousness, can someone explain the logic here?  I am all ears.
