Speaking Point: I like to have the mentality that the glass is always full. In many cases you can always find the positive in any situation. When talking about the new series, "SKINS" on MTV, many people can't seem to find one good thing about it. Maybe it is because the show is about a rambunctious group of teenagers who party, do drugs, and are extremely sexual for only being 16 years old. When Taco Bell pulls their advertisements from a series like they did on Skins and the Parent Television Council contacts the Senate, this show seems to have accomplished its goal...CREATE A STIR!

Speaking Point: The new series Skins looks like the perfect program of what should NOT be shown and put on television today. Before the first episode even even aired the trailer already showed too much! The trailer created the clear picture of what was in store, reckless teenagers who are wasting their youth and life away by hardcore drinking, drugs, sex, and partying. Statistics are higher than ever for teenagers over dosing on prescription pills and dying. This show in no way shape or form is going to help that statistic go down let alone the underage drinking or teen pregnancy problem faced today.

Speaking Point: Many young teenagers watch MTV as their main source of entertainment. As a parent - is MTV the network you want your teenager clicking to when their programs are consisting of Teen Mom, The Jersey Shore, and now Skins? What happened to the music based television network MTV once was?

Speaking Point: The promos were stomach turning enough for me and the first episode the same. Unfortunately, not every other teenager or ADULT feels the same way as I do. I watched the promo on YouTube and there was a comment that stated, "I wish I had parties like this when I was in high school". My comment back to that person is, "Very mature!"

Speaking Point: There is too much hypocritical information being filtered to teenagers today. In many media outlets you will find people preaching that teenagers are growing up to fast, more rambunctious then ever, and to promiscuous. But, then a show like Skins comes to air which is not displaying better behavior for teenagers to look up to.

Speaking Point: This show is either going to be portrayed 1 of 2 ways. It is either going to show teenagers that they never want to be like, resemble, or look up to the teenager on the show. Or it is going to totally glamorize the like of a rebel teen life. Hopefully, out of this ridiculously obscene show it will show the demise of the teenager who chooses this crazy way of life to teach teens watching a lesson that drugs, sex, and partying is not the key to success.
