Speaking Point: In the western world death is not a subject we are usually comfortable discussing. We do everything we can to deny death, especially our own. But it's hard to live a rich, joyful life without coming to terms with the fact that we live in finite bodies that will in time perish and die. Speaking Point: Read books that deal with the issue of death and start to get comfortable talking about death with friends and loved ones. Speaking Point: Take care of unfinished business while you still can. Do the things you love to do while you still can. No more putting off till tomorrow, when you may never have that chance again. Speaking Point: Tell the people in your life how much you care about them; write that letter that needs writing and make that phone call you have been putting off. The difficult things that keep us separated need to be said even more than words of love that carry less charge. Speaking Point: Ask yourself this question: how would you live your life different if you knew you only had 3 months left to live, and see what comes up for you. If your answer is, there isn't much I'd change, then you're on track. If, however, the question sends you into a panic, then you don't have a moment to lose to make some important changes in your life.
