Speaking Point: Learn to meditate and try practicing every morning and evening for as long as works for you. Schedule a silent retreat once a year or more if your schedule allows. Speaking Point: During the day take some time to be silent and alone. Turn off the television and the radio when you are driving, turn on the answering machine and put a do not disturb sign on your door if you need to. Speaking Point: Refrain from checking your e-mails, Facebook, Twitter etc, several times a day. You do not have to be constantly in the know. It is an addiction and you may go through withdrawals so take it a day at a time! Speaking Point: Commune with nature any chance you can. Walk on the beach, hike in the mountains, take your pooch to the park and sit outside for a few minutes at night to look at the stars.
