Speaking Point: Whether launching a new career or starting from scratch at the beginning, the can be no better tool for preparing you for the immediate market place. The tool is the Community College Educational system. A tool you might ask? Yes a tool. In the CCE system you have the opportunity to pick and choose an educational path, with classes that highlight the career you have chosen or are considering.

Speaking Point: The CCE is the cost effective and short term solution to that preparation. With two years of time spent in the particular educational subject of your career choice, you can become prepared in a way that would not otherwise be available at the same cost and time allocation.

Speaking Point: In the field of Law Enforcement, there is the obvious path of Public Service fields, including Criminology and Sciences. Many smart young people chose in these fields and find that they learn the language, the laws, the concepts that relate directly to the law enforcement career.

Speaking Point: What is of particular note is that the future of law enforcement will be directed by a new focus on Cyber. Specifically, the subjects of cyber security, cyber-crimes, software coding and systems administration are each and all key areas of focus. Smart students will not just focus, or only focus on direct arrest subjects, but they will look at the investigative tools that will drive future crime fighting.

Speaking Point: An added benefit to having a cyber education in law enforcement is that the commercial market place as a whole is driving by computers and computer sciences. Someone coming from a law enforcement and cyber security background will have a tremendous lead over someone with one, or the other only.

Speaking Point: In my personal experience I am constantly networking with both law enforcement agencies and with private industry computer companies or general corporate entities that have significant cyber security concerns. Hacking and data protection are major problems at the federal, local and international level. If I were starting my career over, a cyber security educational background would be my choice.
