Angela Paul is an author, model, life coach and speaker whose main focus is on relationships, marriage, personal transformation and graceful aging. Her first book, "It's Hard Being Human: Thoughts on The Journey from Suffering to Joy," was published in 2007 and featured a foreword by The Secret's teacher Rev. Michael Beckwith. Her new book, "The Beauty of Aging: A Woman's Guide to Joyful Living," was published last summer and is available through online retailers such as Barnes and Noble, Amazon, iUniverse and Books-a-Million. The book will be available later this year in major bookstores nation wide. An e-book version of both books is also now available.
Angela was born and raised in Yorkshire, England. A former Miss Teen England and successful fashion model, Angela worked extensively in Europe and Asia and lived in Japan for eight years. It was during this time that she began her 30 year practice of meditation and study of Eastern philosophy and world religions. She has also worked as a docent and trained facilitator at the Simon Weisenthal Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, and is a “Big Sister” with the Big Brother/ Big Sister program. Angela is also a sponsored sister with Women For Women International.
In 2006, Angela was a winner of More Magazine’s Over 40 Model Search and is now a contracted model with Wilhelmina agency in N.Y. and Los Angeles. Her clients include Sheraton Hotels, WEN Hair products by Chaz Dean and Radiesse. She has been a featured guest on Good Morning America, CBS Early Show, Fox News and Inside Edition. Last year Angela was the winner of Harper's Bazaar 2011 Fabulous At Every Age Contest and was the special commentator/analyst for Fox News San Diego's coverage of The Royal Wedding. Most recently she was the "Royal Expert" again on Fox News for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Angela has been married for thirty one years to Alan Paul, the founding member of the ten time Grammy Award winning vocal group, The Manhattan Transfer. They have one daughter Arielle, a UC Berkeley graduate and singer/songwriter who lives in Los Angeles.
In 2013 Angela and her husband will be leading workshops based on their forthcoming book on how to sustain a long and healthy marriage. She is also collaborating with Swedish illustrator/artist Helena Hotzl on a book for young teen girls about self-esteem entitled " The Girl In The Mirror."
